Iconic shoes from the Wizard of Oz to be displayed in London

The ruby slippers that was worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 movie, the Wizard of Oz, will be brought to England for the first time. The shoes are somewhat of an icon in the film world, and they are going to be appearing at a costume exhibition which will take place at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The shoes are going to be appearing as a part of a Hollywood Costume exhibition, which is sure to draw a huge number of visitors.

The shoes are being loaned from Washington’s Smithsonian Museum and this is the first time that they have left the United States. The shoes are also going to be displayed alongside the blue and white dress that Judy wore in the production. The display of the shoes is something that has been planned for a long time, and it is said that the curator of the museum has been working for over five years in order to secure the shoes for this spectacular exhibition. The shoes are going to be in the UK from October 20th to November 18th. Then they will be returned back to the US in time for Thanksgiving.
